The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Musical Theatre is a two year programme in a vocational setting that will help you to discover your next steps in your training, education or employment.

Our Musical theatre course enables passionate and inspired students to prepare for Higher Education & professional training courses, within an up to date industry led environment. 

Year 1 is focused on technical skill development, contextual understanding and personal development. Your focus will be on learning to collaborate, developing self discipline, application of feedback and performance skills..

In Year 2 you will explore the audition context, learn audition techniques and develop audition material. You will be introduced to a wide variety of possible progression routes suitable for your skill set and ambition. At the end of this year, you will participate in a full scale musical, giving you the opportunity to experience a full rehearsal schedule, technical understanding in a professional theatre and performing to a public audience.

Across the 2 year course, you will have a range of performance opportunities such as our Annual Showcase, ESPA Voices, Charity Concerts, Summer Voices and Dance Company.

Our Musical Theatre curriculum is created to fulfil an equal balance of singing, acting and dance which is underpinned by relevant project based, theoretical coursework. 

The Level 3 Extended Diploma is the equivalent to 3 ALevels.
